Last year’s SpoKenya Run 2010 raised over $13,000 for water in Adiedo Kenya. This money is being used for completion of a well near the primary school. Imagine a school with over 600 children and no water!
The borehole for the well by the school was completed October 2010 by Drillcon Ltd. (a Kenyan company). The borehole (phase 1) was funded with gifts from the congregation at Life Center Church. The well is an excellent producer completed at a depth of approximately 400 feet.
The development and completion of the well improvements (phase 2) remain. Due to the well’s excellent potential, it will be developed as a central water station to serve the Adiedo school, the families of children at the school and the surrounding community. Necessary equipment (solar panels, elevated water storage, and water delivery pertinences) will be covered by the SpoKenya Run funds in partnership with Life Center Church.
